FMEA’s Legislative Rally – April 1-2, 2013, is one of the most effective ways for you to meet and lobby your state legislators on electric utility issues. With legislation pending that affects all FMEA members, and with a significant financial impact, it is important for every utility to be represented at the Rally.

Please make appointments with legislators in advance of the Rally. Legislative committees are not scheduled far in advance, so their staff may not want to schedule your appointment until a week or two prior. Got to www.leg.state.fl.us for contact information on your legislator.

Tuesday, April 2
8:30 am – 10:00 am	Visit with legislators
10:00 am – 1:00 pm	FMEA Board of Directors meeting, Legislative Issues briefing and Lunch, Challenger Learning Center, 200 S. Duval Street, Kleman Plaza
1:00 pm	Visit with legislators
6:00 pm	Ad hoc dinner for FMEA members and guests (pay on your own)

Hotel Information

A limited number of rooms are available at the Courtyard by Marriott, 1018 Apalachee Parkway, near the Tallahassee Capitol.

Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-321-2211 and requesting a reservation under the Florida Municipal Electric Association room block. Rooms are available for the night of Monday, April 1 at the rate of $109. Rooms are limited and all reservations must be made by Friday March 1, 2013.
