Journeyman/Senior Team & Apprentice Event Information

The Florida Municipal Electric Association is pleased to invite you to participate in the 15th Annual Florida Lineman Competition. City of Tallahassee is hosting this year’s event.

The Competition will take place April 17-18, at the Tallahassee Auto Museum and will allow participation of up to 40 teams and 50 apprentices. To celebrate the 15th year of the competition we will feature some of our long-time competitors in a Senior Journeyman Team Division, compete details can be found in the Team & Apprentice Packet!

If you have participated in the past you know this event has experienced tremendous growth and success throughout the years. If you have not, we hope you will consider joining us this year to share in the excitement.

Complete event rules and details as well as registration forms can be found in the Team & Apprentice Packet (PDF). Online registration links are below.

Additional Awards Banquet Information

Awards will be presented Saturday evening at the Awards Banquet in the Tallahassee Auto Museum. There is a $10 discount for ordering your tickets in advance of the April, 3 registration deadline.

Sponsorship Information

As a Florida Lineman Competition sponsor or exhibitor, this is your chance to show your support for the utility industry, while networking with colleagues and demonstrating your products and services to Florida’s electric line personnel. We are anticipating 25 teams and 40 apprentices from Florida municipal, cooperative and investor-owned utilities along with out-of-state utility visitors. We anticipate more than 400 people at this year’s event.

This year your sponsorship includes an important benefit: Recognition as a Sponsor within the FMEA Mobile App  – Providing a convenient advertising and communication tool to Florida’s Municipal Utility Market.
