Salary: $80,123.96 – $124,298.56 **DOE**

City of Lakeland, Lakeland Electric Department seeks a strong, results-oriented Engineer for the performance of difficult and complex engineering design, operation, and construction tasks associated with the planning and design of a variety of projects and studies needed to support the electric power facilities. Duties will involve directing engineering and task forces engaged in major facility projects and assuming the role of Project Manager or Senior Engineer. This position will also be responsible for acting as a NERC compliance Standard Coordinator and/or Subject Matter Expert (SME) in an appropriate area pf expertise to support Lakeland Electric’s compliance with the National Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Reliability Standards Requirements. This position reports to the Smart Grid Operations Manager.

- Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science in engineering.
- Six (6) years of experience in related engineering work
- A Professional Engineering License from the State Board of Professional Engineers of a Master’s Degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
