Operator/Maintainer – Power Plant Mechanic – Keys Energy Services

The Operator/ Maintainer provides for the safe, effective operation and maintenance of a simple-cycle combustion turbine and diesel facility, including operation, start up and shut down of plant systems, main combustion turbines, and diesel engines.  The operator/maintainer performs responsible skilled and routine technical work in the operation of the generating plant.  This position is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring of plant equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Operator/Maintainer Leader. Preference will be given to candidates holding a welding certification.  This position requires four years experience in both operations and maintenance with good understanding power plant fundamentals and processes. A qualified applicant must have completed an approved apprenticeship program or have an equivalent combination of experience and training, have a Florida Driver License; and be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Maximo.  Must pass a basic math test and computer assessment.

Starting hourly rate:   $31.02 – 33.97 (depending on experience)
