FMEA’s Bill Comparison for March 2017 shows the average bills of public power utilities across Florida are $12.98 less than the average bills for investor-owned utilities per 1,000 kWh.
Overall, out of fifteen ranked categories, Lakeland Electric reports the lowest bills in nine categories; City of Mount Dora reports the lowest bill in four categories; the City of Tallahassee reports the lowest bills in two categories.
For residential bills Lakeland Electric reports being the lowest bills in all three categories.
For commercial bills, out of eight ranked categories, Lakeland Electric reports being the lowest in four categories, the City of Tallahassee and the City of Mount Dora each report the lowest in two categories. In the industrial sector, out of four ranked categories; the City of Mount Dora and Lakeland Electric both report being the lowest in two categories each.
